Performers
Caught In The Act recruits actors via agents, direct from accredited drama schools and from those with a background in education and training. Our scripts and performances enjoy the background of 20 years' experience of using drama to train and teach. All of our work takes place in conference venues, training rooms and school halls and so we use the material and the actors to create a ' theatre' atmosphere. Lightweight and portable staging frames the performance, the engaging and high-quality actors do the rest of the work. Our actors are often asked if they have previously worked in the organisation that we are representing such is the conviction of their performances. Many of our actors have worked with the company for several years. They are skilled in facilitation techniques and are trained on how to give feedback to groups and individuals as well as capturing key learning points. They are skilled improvisers who participate in the development of all scripts, this process lends credibility and relevance to the material.
All of our actors have experience of active facilitation. They must understand the objective of the training and the issues that it seeks to address. They must be a neutral member of the group, looking to resolve difference and make commitments to change and progress. And they must evaluate the process and share the findings. Our actors have a clear understanding of the learning experience that each client wants to achieve and they match their performances to the learning outcomes as well as being able to respond to the individual needs of each set of delegates.
All of our projects are cast to include actors who have a minority ethnic heritage.
